Transition
I wrote it out half complete...
I pushed or bumped a key or button
It erased and I cannot get it back
I liked it and I felt you would too.

But its gone

So the fates took it away as they are prone do
my poem good or bad was lost
But the spirit of what I wrote
is forever in my heart.

Let me try to catch the first part
I was written in prose from the heart
From the heart
Truely from the heart

Ahem

For you in transition, and for you who have chosen to go down the path and stop at your comfort position;

TRANSITION

Each of us is born on a path
and it seem set somehow from conception
or earlier perhaps, we don't know
But we start

And each of us travels to our death
a life of expectations and connections
or is it fated to be, we cannot tell
But we end

And so on - unfinished...

Lizzy

Loving you all!!! What is that all about?

RE: Transition
Dear Lizzy,

Wow, a little dark, but there is a lot of truth to what you are saying.

I have a suggestion sweetie. The next time that you are working on a poem or some other writing, first write it in a word processor local to your computer. Once you have what you want, then copy/paste it to the forum. In this way, you don't loose what you are working on. I too, have had things lost when I am in the middle of writing a post because I accidently hit some key.

Love you

Brenda

Glad to be here :)

RE: Transition
Lizzy,

Save your work often while you are writing - my computer has a mind of its own and apparently is pure evil!

So I write a few lines and then I hit save
My memory and computer won't behave
I have lost too much
From my life and such
I never leave to chance
A simple way to enhance
For to me a poem lost
Leaves on my heart frost
For I fear I can never recapture
That fleeting moment of rapture
The times that I have been visited by muse
Allowed by their kindness their talent to use
So I dare not squander so magical a gift
To give my heart kindness and spirit a lift
I find it so useful and so helpful to me
To save all my work with one little key

Love ya,
Sally

RE: Transition
Ahh alas

The wisdom of the mages - wasted on the poor shepardess girl in the field (Christmas refereneces - isn't that nifty - brilliant!)

I often draw my designs on scraps of paper and old envelopes - as the muse beacons - only to have such swept away at the end of a meal (in the case of napkins) or by zealous others in a frenzy to clean my messy desk. Cathedrals and castles and other momuments to my genuis of design - in the dumpster, Get thee to a landfill, [Shakespeare?] ummmm

SO the efforts lost - YES I shoulda been on Word or some more durable plarform... but twasn't...

So forevermore I will be haunted by what shoulda been - hey - that's so familiar! Wonder why?

Love you crazy people!
