Accidental passing of my own

I have had an interesting few days at my job where I present male.

I received a letter from the home office stating that I have a gender discrepancy on my Social Security Information - they have me as male and my job has me as female - I would like to correct the SSN.

I mentioned this to the guys I work with and they had a laugh or two, then I helped a lady get to the right area and make her exchange over across the aisle from me and when she came back out I asked her if they got her taken care of and she responded, "Yes they did, thank you ma'am... I mean Sir!"

It was so nice for a second.

On a side note I took the opportunity to mention all of this to a very cute guy at work and proceeded to flirt with him shamelessly (too bad he thought I was joking) but he did give me money for a coke and I promised to bake him some cookies.

It has been interesting and really fun.
